Contributions from all over the world are welcome under the only criterion of scientific quality.
By September 2017, "Le Infezioni in Medicina" is the "Official Journal of the Italian Society of Infectious and Tropical Diseases". The aim of the journal is to publish original and high-quality papers on all aspects of infections: clinical, microbiological, diagnostic and epidemiological, bringing together the knowledge and expertise from all specialties involved in infection research and clinical practice, and taking into consideration the continuous changes in the field of infections. Each issue of the journal is well balanced in the typology of articles presented, bringing readers some high-quality reviews dealing with specific hot topics of interest and several original articles referring to unpublished studies on both experimental and clinical research in the field of infectious diseases. Publication of Case Reports, Letters to the Editor and articles dealing with Infections in the history of Medicine is not a primary purpose of the journal but they are always represented even though in a limited quote of papers published.
